Mistfall Hunter Patch Notes & Update History
Last revised 2026-08-14. Tested against the current live patch.
Mistfall Hunter ships regular patches, and each one can quietly change which build is strong. This page keeps the high-signal changes in one place so you can re-check your affixes and tier list instead of reading a wall of patch text.
Latest patch — August 6, 2026 client update
The biggest recent update centered on endgame and class balance:
- Dried Flower Knot drop expanded. After this client update the Legendary Cipher Key started appearing more often, letting more players reach the Einherjar Mode / enhanced Mist Lord fight. Its drop pool was widened to high-difficulty exploration, containers, and enemy drops (it was previously rarer).
- Withered Knight quality-of-life buff. The energy cost of Sprinting Slash and Withering Mark was reduced, so heavy-weapon players can attack more freely without draining energy.
- Black Arrow adjustments. Steel Arrow's impact effect on charged attacks was reduced, and uncharged attacks no longer apply the same interruption. The side bunny-hop movement exploit was fixed. Black Arrow keeps its strong ranged identity but disrupts opponents less constantly.
- Stability and crash fixes. UI problems, crashes, display errors, and several combat bugs were addressed.
Milestones worth knowing
- 500,000+ Gyldhunters (Aug 1, 2026). The game crossed half a million players, hit #1 on Twitch, and peaked around 44,000 concurrent Steam players.
- Second wave of launch rewards. Logging in before Sept 1, 2026 (00:00 UTC) grants free rewards through in-game mail, including an Ashen Cipher, an Abyssal Cipher, Soul Coin ×500, and Pip's Rare Pouch Voucher (3 days).
How a patch should change your build
When a patch touches a class you play, do three things: re-read the best class & builds page, re-check your affix priorities, and re-test your weapon in a safe zone before taking it into a PvPvE raid. Numbers drift patch to patch — the meta does too.
