Dried Flower Knot & Einherjar Mode — Mistfall Hunter Endgame
Last revised 2026-08-14. Tested against the current live patch.
The Dried Flower Knot is a Legendary Cipher Key that unlocks the enhanced Mist Lord fight in Einherjar Mode. It's the headline endgame goal after the August 2026 update — here's how to get one and what the fight pays out.
What the Dried Flower Knot is
The Dried Flower Knot is a Legendary Cipher Key, not a normal Cipher. Where ordinary Ciphers are redeemed at camp NPCs for loot, the Dried Flower Knot is consumed to enhance a Mist Lord encounter, turning it into a much harder fight with far better rewards. It dropped only rarely at first and had its availability expanded in the August 6, 2026 client update.
How to get a Dried Flower Knot
- High-difficulty content — Chaos and Cataclysm modes are the consistent source.
- Containers and enemy drops — it can appear from loot sources in endgame runs.
- Auction House — because it's a tradeable Legendary key, you can also buy one if you'd rather skip the farm.
Because it's rare, don't expect to find one frequently — focus your runs on the hardest available difficulty if the Knot is your goal.
How to use it
- Obtain the Dried Flower Knot and place it into the Key Ring slot before entering the match. If it stays in your normal inventory, the game may block you from queuing.
- Enter a Mist Lord encounter on an eligible map.
- Find the special NPC inside the encounter and use the Dried Flower Knot to activate the enhancement.
What Einherjar Mode pays out
The enhanced Mist Lord is significantly harder — some versions add extra mechanics like copies of your own teammates — but the rewards scale with the risk:
- High-quality orange-tier items
- Rare crafting materials
- Holy weapon variants (unique equipment effects)
- Valuable Holy Forging Materials for endgame crafting
Is it worth it?
For endgame players chasing Holy weapons and top-tier crafting, yes — the Dried Flower Knot is the gate to that content. For casual players still building a baseline kit, farm your affixes and Auction House gear first; the Knot fight will punish an under-geared squad.
